"Wow..."

is the theme for this years Reflections contest. Since the due date was today, I took Braiden out to get it done yesterday. The only thing I really did to help him was to steady the camera for him since I didn't take the tripod. He took 131 pictures. Here are the final 5 that he choose from.









And the winner is...


the giant mushroom. We were on our way back to the truck when I spotted the mushrooms. I showed Braiden. He looked at them and actually said "wow, holy mushroom", then started to walk away. I asked him what he just said about that mushroom. When he realized that the mushroom had made him say wow, he decided that maybe he needed a picture.
We took them home and put them on the computer. I showed him how to use the crop tool and the auto-fix. He edited them and we sent them off to Costco.
It helps to have a nice camera, but i think he has a pretty good eye.

The Family With the Cute Boys

I'm not sure why, but I love this next one...








What a cute family with adorable boys! This was actually a fairly easy photo shoot considering I didn't have the most crucial part for my tripod and couldn't use it. I also didn't have anything to get the kids attention except for myself and my camera which doesn't fascinate them as much as it does me. I don't know why not? Getting a 5 year old, a 3 year old and two 7 month old twins to all look at the camera at the same time is a challenge, but we did it, and even managed to get some smiles.

We took these pictures the first weekend in October. It was nice and cold and I wasn't sure if we would be able to take them or not, but we made it.

Cute Kids!

I'm not quite done yet, but I couldn't hold off posting these anylonger. When we started out I thought this was going to be a breeze, but I think the kids lasted about 5 minutes. I think we still got some good ones though.

Isn't it? I'm still working on this little one's shoot. Here's another one for mom while she's waiting. I love this one! She slept through most of the photo shoot or I should say tried to sleep. She didn't care for the fact that I kept bugging her.
