The Last 2 Weeks

Here is a little update on what we have been doing the last few weeks, besides getting the soccer slide show done. Warning... there are a lot of pictures!!

Travis asked me a few months back to ask my sister if she wanted to do the Ogden Half Marathon with him. She said she would and while I was signing him up I had the crazy thought come to my mind that if they can do it so can I. So of course I signed myself up, then wondered what in the heck I had just done. We were training for the 5 mile run in Moab and it worked out that it put us in the 3rd week of training for the half. My sister ended up getting hurt playing soccer the week before and couldn't run with me, so I was totally bummed about that. She asked me after the race if I was going to do it again with her and I kept saying that I would have to wait and see. Now that it's been awhile I think I might do it again someday. Anyway, I did better than I thought I would. I'm glad I did it, that it's over and I can say I did it. Here are some pictures from the day...

Braiden ran the kids K race. He was pretty excited to have Travis and Grandpa running with him.

He was also excited about his cow bell medal.

Later that night we took Grandpa's rockets to the park and launched them. Braiden had been looking forward to it for a few months after my dad showed him the rockets. I don't think I got any great pictures of Braiden. He doesn't hold still for very long and all of the other pictures I took were from across the park with my telephoto lens and they didn't turn out that great. I took Brooklynn over so she could launch the last rocket and was able to get these. She thought the rocket was pretty cool and started making it fly around.

The next day we had stake conference so we were out of church before we normally go. Since we were a little sore (ok, my quads were a lot sore) we decided it might be good to go for a hike (more like a walk) up the canyon. I think it might have helped so I'm glad we did it. After hiking we hung out at the park. The boys played catch and Brooklynn enjoyed running around while I relaxed on the blanket. It was an afternoon well spent.

Today was Braiden's last day of school, but they had their Graduation last week. I love the little caps and gowns, very cute. They sang some songs and then got their little diplomas. It's so crazy to think he will be going to Kindergarten. He is more than ready and I think I am too.

Braiden and his teacher...

Thank you to Grandma for coming and also Karli, Kathryn and Kaiden. (Karli you're welcome for not posting the picture with you)

I made it back!

It's been so long! I wish I could say I've been on a awesome vacation or something, but that's not the case. I had a few busy weeks and then needed a few days off of my computer. Now I'm wishing I wouldn't have taken as much time off. My sister and her husband went through the temple last month and had their kids sealed to them. We took some pictures that day, but we ran out of light and wanted to get some more. We went up a few weeks ago, but ended getting up their later than we were planning on and ran out of light again. We did have more time and I think we got some good ones this time. Hopefully you like them!

I also took some pictures of my nephew that same day. I'm not finished yet, but hopefully I can get through them this week. Back to a crazy busy week of editing.

Finished

I am finally finished with this adorable Family shoot. I'm probably giving too many previews, but they are such a good looking family with such cute kids.

Loose Tooth Braiden

Travis discovered Braiden's tooth was loose Sunday morning. I really didn't think I would be able to have anything to do with it, but guess who got it out? We have been trying to get Braiden to let us take it out all week since his other tooth was already coming in behind it. Yesterday Braiden said he wanted to to the "door thing" and get it out. So we did it. We tried about 3 or 4 times and the string kept coming off. The last time we tried I pulled down with my hand so it wouldn't come off. It didn't pull his tooth out, but there was some blood so I knew we were close. I didn't want Braiden to see the blood or I knew he would freak out. He kind of did anyway. Check it out...

This picture is from the night before. Travis tried for about 15 minutes to get it out, but Braiden wasn't having it. He really wanted to get it out and would sometimes show excitement, but then he would chicken out.

Checking out the tooth...

I love this next one. If you click on it and make it bigger you can see the tear on his face and the slobber hanging from his mouth. You can also see the permanent tooth.

This morning after the Tooth Fairy came...

We love this kid. He talks a lot, which is a major understatement. He does say some pretty funny things though. The other day I was trying to get him to get in the shower. He complains everyday and he says he hates to shower. Then he spends at least 20-30 minutes in the shower. I gave him a time limit with consequences. He barely made it and of course I had to keep telling him to hurry. He walked in just in time as he was finishing getting dressed and called me "stupid." I'm not sure exactly why because I immediately stopped him from talking and told him that he is not allowed to talk to me that way. I told him that if he ever calls me stupid again he is going to be one sad kid. The next words out of his mouth were "Mom, please don't call me a kid cause I'm not a baby goat!"

Previews of more to come...

I know I've slowed down on my posting a bit. I am editing a photo shoot, our vacation pics and soccer pictures right now.

Here is a cute little family I took pictures of earlier this week. How cute are they! The kids were really good and lasted through two locations and about an hour and a half. We didn't get too many smiles out of the little one, but with a face like that you don't need to be smiling to be cute.

Here are a few pictures from our vacation. (Yes it was almost 3 weeks ago. I know very sad I'm just getting to them.) Here is a picture of my cute little sis and her husband, us and the boat docks at The Coeur d'Alene.

Soccer Pictures

Here are the pictures for the boys soccer team this year. Now on to the action shots for the slideshow. I'm really not looking forward to going through all of them. There are hundreds!!

Here is a picture of the seniors this year.
