I have been listening to other mom's talking about how excited they are for summer and have been planning fun things for their kids to do. Since Braiden only went to school two days a week and for a few hours, it doesn't seem like summer is a big of a break for us. The weather hasn't been super hot so it doesn't feel much like summer either.
On Tuesday we decided last minute to take the boat out for a test drive and make sure it was ready to go for the year. We took off about 6pm, grabbed some Subways and headed up to Deer Creek. I will admit that after taking the boat out for the first time, I am now really looking forward to summer. I just hope it warms up a little more.

Braiden has a hard time holding still enough to take a picture, so this one turned out pretty good for him.
We let the kids have their cookies while we were drying off the boat. Braiden wouldn't smile without the cookie in his mouth, although that's not much of a smile.
They were both a little hesitant the first time out, but I'm sure it won't be long before they are back in the swing of things. Braiden didn't want to put his feet in the water off the back of the boat, but decided when we were about ready to leave that he wanted to go down and feel the water. Brooklynn was really hesitant about putting her feet in. I think because of the waves coming in. They probably seemed pretty big to her.

Looks like you guys had some fun. You said you can see me in Kaiden....I can see you in Brook....she has so many of your mannerisms. She makes me laugh!

Nothin' quite like lazying around in a boat with fam (and food)--especially in such a beautiful place! I am cracking up at the baby giving the middle finger...priceless.
That sounds really fun. You are creating such fun memories for you kiddos.
That looks like so much fun! I LOVE boating even if you don't get in the water. We will have to get together now that we are back in Utah!
